DreamSequence is an online sanctuary for creatives designed to cultivate and amplify creative spirit by delving into the depths of your dreams. The platform connects like-minded designers, fostering an atmosphere where inspiration intertwines with the narratives of your dreams.
The DreamSequence mobile application serves as a platform for artists of imagination, inspiration, creativity, and collaboration. By connecting people through their dreams, this application represents the social media of the future.
Creatives often experience creative blocks where they are lacking in creative spirit or inspiration
TARGET DEMOGRAPHIC
Creatives (including but not limited to graphic designers, photographers, artists, and more) looking for inspiration as well as collaborations. The app is designed for users who seek a supportive community where they can explore their dreams, share their experiences, and collaborate with like-minded individuals.
USER NEEDS
The app provides tools and resources for users to explore the meanings and symbolism within their dreams.
Based on users' dream journal entries and interactions, the app provides personalized recommendations for content, connections, and creative opportunities.
Users can create and share various types of content, including artwork, writing, music, videos, and more to showcase their work as well as allowing people to look for inspiration.
DreamSequence can have a home page that provides the user with in-depth analysis of their dream and what inspiration they can draw from it.
Inspired by Spotify Blends, DreamSequence can incorporate a collaborative aspect by showing you compatible friends that are experiencing similar dreams and prompt the user to start a message thread.
In order to further promote collaboration and inspiration, DreamSequence can incorporate a social media aspect where people can connect and post their works. This way, people can get inspired by others as well as assess people you are considering collaborating with by looking at their past works.
The user flow for onboarding a new user is fairly straightforward, as the app prompts the user for information such as name, email, password. The app then allows the user to create a username and additionally input their profession, pronouns, bio, and select a few of their creative interests.
Once the user is finished setting up, the app opens to the home screen, which prompts the user to provide information about their dream.
Home Page
The home page allows the user to input information about their dream. Once that information is parsed, the app generates text-based guidance of how the dream can inspire the user’s creative vision.
The app also promotes connection and collaboration by showing the user who they may be compatible with and why, as well as profiles the user may be able to take inspiration from.

The explore page displays suggested accounts as well as curated works seen as “Our top picks”. The images at the top are images that the app uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to generate for the user based on their dreams. These images are specific to the user’s interests and are used for moodboarding.
For instance, this user has expressed interest in graphic design and UI/UX design, therefore these images may showcase color palettes, font ideas, layouts, imagery, etc. If the user hypothetically showed interest in fashion design, these images may showcase textiles and patterns.
The user can scroll through these images and like the ones they feel inspired by, and as they do so, the algorithm will learn them better.
As the user navigates to their profile, they can see two tabs: Work and Dreams. Work is a space for the user to showcase their own work, while the Dreams tab holds the moodboards the app creates for you, populated with the images you have liked from the explore page.
